About Pyscodlyn
Welcome
Our caravan and campsite is situated in beautiful surroundings, at the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountain within the Usk Valley. We are lucky enough to live and work here, and to share it with the many people who visit our site every year.
The site is peaceful, clean and friendly, and we're proud of our 4 star rating. We are a simple site (we don't have a club house or our own shop for example) so you won't find many bells and whistles. But who needs them when you have views like these? Everything you'll need is easily accessible near by.
A family affair
Pyscodlyn (which means fishery or fishpond in Welsh) is a working beef and sheep farm owned by the Davies family. Pyscodlyn Caravan and Campsite is managed by Jonathan and Emily Davies.
The campsite was opened in 1948 by Jonathan's grandparents, Trevor and Beth Davies. Later, Jonathan's parents Mary and Ken took over the management and spent many decades working hard to update the site and facilities to create a peaceful and welcoming site that many families have returned to year on year. Jonathan and Emily took over the reins in 2023 and are the third generation to manage Pyscodlyn Caravan and Campsite.
A stunning location
We love where we live. The site sits at the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, giving us wonderful views of ever-changing scenery. We're just 2 miles from Abergavenny and 4 miles from Crickhowell - both lovely towns with brilliant shops and sites of interest. We're also just a short walk from the river Usk. There are so many beautiful walks and bike rides to enjoy from the campsite.
We're easy to get to, located just off the main A40 road (no narrow lanes to squeeze your caravan down or worries about reversing). And once you're here, you have the whole of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park on your doorstep.
Whether caravanning or camping, exploring or relaxing, there is something for everyone here at Pyscodlyn:
Family-friendly site with space to run and play
4.5 acre site with level grass pitches and electric hook up
Wonderful mountain views
Well behaved dogs are welcome
Stunning countryside to explore from our doorstep
