I really cant express how much i enjoy this relaxing and tranquil site. With a fantastic backdrop across the mountains and within walking distance of the town centre this site offers everything a true Welsh Camper could wish for. Love coming here and cant wait to do it again.
Thanks for your review. Always good to hear of repeat visitors. Not long now until we open. Lets hope that we have some good summer weather. Looking forward to meeting you again. Mary
Stayed at this site for 3 nights over the mayday weekend, beautifully kept site, nice toilet and shower block, lovely kept grass areas, great exercise facilities for the dog. Nice welcome on arrival, good location to nearby places like Abergavenny for instance. Went to the Big Pit mining museum on the Sunday which included a tour of part of the mine, what an amazing experience and free of charge like all museums in Wales. Great place to go on a day when the weather is not great. Going back to the site, one of the best little sites weve been to. If your after all singing all dancing this site will disappoint, if not try it out you will not be disappointed especially if you have decent weather.
We stayed here for easter weekend, we just wanted something local and with suitable family friendly facilities. I booked last minute and was so pleased to get a space. We took our dogs and 3 children and have to say the site is amazing. It's clean, quiet, safe and secure and most importantly the people that run it are friendly and helpful. The toilet and showers are VERY nice and everything is easily accessible. We have already booked to go again because we enjoyed it so much.
Cannot praise this site enough.. been here 3 years in a row now. Site is beautifully kept. Very pleasant owners. Will be back again very soon. Have family in the area , so it's win win..
Stayed 1 night in the camping field. We received a friendly welcome, the facilities were well maintained, modern and clean. We were very pleased to see a baby changing cubicle! Will definitely be back!
I haven't been camping for about 20 years but this was a fantastic experience.Lovely site with friendly owners, clean amenities and fantastic views.Definitely recommended
An excellent campsite with good (very clean) facilities. The owners were most accommodating and helpful. Pleasant location. If the opportunity arises, I will be very happy to stay there again. Top marks!
What a great destination. Level fields, clean facilities and a lovely welcome upon arrival. Definitely a place I'm revisiting. Great value camping trip.
Just returned home from a 11 night stay, lovely site, flat and all grass pitches, feels very continental, showers and toilets always clean and lovely hot showers. This is a gem of a site, quiet and peaceful, lovely walk along the river to Abergavenny, plenty of nice shops and cafes in the area. Visited Cardiff and other sourrounding areas as the site is very central. The owners were very helpful and the site is a credit to them. I would love to visit again as this is one of the most calming and best sites that we have stayed on, plenty of room for the kids to play? Do not hesitate to book this site as you will not be dissapointed. Thank you Mr and Mrs Davies for such a gem of a site, and a very relaxing holiday.
Just stayed here for the first time for 2 nights with friends who had stayed here before a few times. Well what an absolutely superb site, pitches are flat and not a single stone to bend our tent pegs, like you get at other sites. Pitches are nice and big and we were able to pitch next to our friends in their folding camper. It is a basic site, with only toilets, showers and washing up facilities some would say a proper campsite, where you have to entertain yourself and the kids. The site is also dog friendly, we don't have a dog but our friends did as well as most of the other people on the site, there are plenty of nice walks to do with or without a dog.Abergavenny is 5 minutes away by car, but I recommend you walk in via the river which takes around an hour. It's worth the walk, as the town has some really nice shops and an indoor market, not forgetting the hen and chicken pub which does really nice pub food and is dog friendly. For the more adventurous, this is an ideal basecamp to explore the beacons or if your not adventurous just stay put and get a tan (weather permitting) as it's also a sun trap.To sum up, WE WILL BE RETURNING SOONHappy holidays :)
